The discount chain Aldi has its eyes on the U.S., where it has announced it will accelerate its expansion plans with the launch of 650 new stores in the next five years.
The German firm will not want to miss the opportunity to grow in the U.S. market and it plans to invest $ 3,000 million (2,200 million euros) in its development strategy in the country.
Specifically, Aldi plans to open about 130 stores a year , representing an increase of 62.5 % in its rate of annual releases of 80 active . In addition , the expansion plan of the company to generate about 10,000 jobs.
Today, Aldi has a retail network of 1,300 centers in the U.S., where the Group is present since 1976.
«We are gradually increasing our expansion plans to meet the growing demand for Aldi customers nationwide ,» stated the president of the German distributor , Jason Hart.
